We have hundreds of patients that use Latisse to bring out the best of their lashes. Latisse, the only eyelash enhancement product clinically proven to work, is a way to affordably and dramatically enhance the length and thickness of your eyelashes. If you’ve been wishing your eyelashes had more depth, Latisse may be the solution you’re looking for.
Our optometrist, Dr. Baldwin, has ample experience with Latisse. In addition to being an expert in eye health, she is also very familiar with Latisse, its requirements, and what to expect when using it.
Working together, you and Dr. Baldwin will monitor the changes to your eyelashes while using Latisse, as well as assess your eye health at regular intervals to ensure that you are not encountering uncomfortable side effects.
Before you can be prescribed Latisse, you must meet with Dr. Baldwin for an eye health assessment and consultation. Schedule your appointment today!
Yes! We recognize the need for being critical due to today’s sensationalized, headline-centric world. On the internet it seems there’s a cure for everything…
Latisse, however, is not your typical “miracle supplement”. It is clinically proven (actually) to increase eyelash thickness and length. It does this by lengthening the eyelash growth cycle, encouraging the eyelash to gain length and thickness as it progresses through its natural growing cycle.
Latisse contains bimatoprost, the primary active ingredient that facilitates eyelash enhancement. How bimatoprost actually does this is not yet certain, though the effects from its use are clear: it increases the length of the anagen phase (growth phase) of the eyelash, and it encourages more hairs to grow during the anagen phase.
Due to the nature of how Latisse interacts with your lashes, it can take up to 16 weeks (4 months) for full results to be clear. This is because Latisse only impacts eyelashes during their growth phase- lashes that are beyond that phase will not be improved with Latisse. After four months, all eyelashes should have interacted with Latisse during their growth phase.
As with all medications, a small chance of side effects exists. Clinical studies have shown that less than 4% of users experience negative side effects. These side effects include:
Dr. Baldwin will assess your eyes at regular intervals to ensure you are responding favorably to treatment. If you are using Latisse and experiencing the side effects above, please book an appointment to see Dr. Baldwin as soon as you are able.
